MENSHEN launches resilience program and strengthens innovation and sustainability expertise
As part of its realignment in the face of highly changed and fluctuating markets and massive increases in energy and raw material prices, packaging manufacturer MENSHEN has launched a program to improve competitiveness and resilience.
“Over the past few months, we have intensively examined processes and cost structures throughout the company and identified synergy and simplification potential, which we are now rapidly addressing. Unfortunately, this also involves personnel adjustments in the core workforce in production and administration,” says Managing Director Jochen Mahrenholtz. The job cuts will be carried out in a socially responsible manner and in coordination with the works council.
At the same time, greater emphasis will be placed on innovation, sustainability and service competence: “Our goal is to drive more of our own innovations or joint developments with our customers, so the focus is on new materials, increased use of recyclates and further reduction of the carbon footprint. Thanks to our holistic project approach in conjunction with laminate, bottle and filling machine manufacturers, as well as cooperation with external start-ups and research institutes, we will be able to implement customer projects even faster and more efficiently in the future, right up to the start of series production,” says Mahrenholtz
