The switch is easy – MENSHEN LoTUS™

The primary purpose of packaging is to protect a product, help ensure the shelf life of foodstuffs and provide information about its contents. Furthermore, aspects such as material efficiency, recyclability and compliance with circular economy requirements are becoming increasingly important. This can pose a particular challenge for pouch packaging, as the films used often consist of several layers of material, which can make sorting and recycling more difficult.

MENSHEN has addressed this challenge and, following extensive development and testing phases, is now launching a new solution onto the market: MENSHEN LoTUS™ is a weldspout designed for use with monomaterial pouch packaging. As a result, LoTUS™ can help to support packaging concepts that are tailored to the requirements of specific recycling and circular economy approaches.

The special shape and design of the weld-on part enable it to be joined to suitable pouch materials. Furthermore, LoTUS™ has been developed to allow integration into existing production processes whilst taking the relevant technical requirements into account.

In addition to these features, MENSHEN LoTUS™ offers further functions for a variety of applications and packaging concepts. The development of LoTUS™ is an example of the continuous advancement of the MENSHEN product portfolio in the field of packaging and closure solutions.
